2025 updates to Rebel 500 announced (and 1100)

Honda has introduced several updates to the 2025 Rebel 500 and Rebel 1100 models, enhancing performance, comfort, and technology. Here's an overview of the key changes:

Rebel 1100 Updates:

  • Engine Enhancements: The 1,083cc parallel-twin engine, derived from the Africa Twin, now features an increased compression ratio from 10.1:1 to 10.5:1. This adjustment boosts power from 85.8 hp to 87.2 hp, with peak torque remaining at 72.3 lb-ft at 4,750 rpm. Riders can expect improved low-end torque and more responsive acceleration.

  • Transmission and Riding Modes: The Rebel 1100 offers three preset riding modes—Standard, Sport, and Rain—each adjusting power delivery and traction control settings. A user-configurable mode allows for personalized adjustments. Models equipped with Honda's Dual-Clutch Transmission (DCT) feature revised settings to enhance low-speed behavior and control.

  • Comfort and Ergonomics: The 2025 model includes a 10mm thicker seat for improved comfort, repositioned handlebars (12mm higher and 28mm rearward), and footpegs moved 50mm forward, resulting in a more relaxed riding posture. A new visor shields the LCD display from sunlight, enhancing visibility.

  • Technology Upgrades: All models now come with Honda RoadSync, connecting the bike to the Honda RoadSync app for navigation, music streaming, and weather updates. A new USB socket near the handlebar allows easy integration of electronic accessories.

  • Trim Options: The Rebel 1100 is available in several trims, including the standard model, DCT, DCT SE (featuring factory-installed styling enhancements), and the touring-focused Rebel 1100T and 1100T DCT. The SE model is offered in Flare Orange Metallic with an MSRP of $11,099.

Rebel 500 Updates:

  • Ergonomics: The Rebel 500 receives similar comfort enhancements as the 1100, with a thicker seat and adjusted handlebar and footpeg positions for improved rider comfort.

  • Display: An improved round LCD display, backlit in white, enhances readability in various lighting conditions.

  • Color Options: New color choices, including a bright orange, align with the cruiser aesthetic.

  • S Version Availability: The Rebel 500 S continues to be available, featuring a quilted seat, headlight fairing, and additional aesthetic enhancements.

These updates reflect Honda's commitment to enhancing the Rebel lineup, offering riders improved performance, comfort, and modern technology.
